Create a test

Build your own map quiz

Pick a level, browse as many categories as you like, and check off targets in each one — your picks are kept as you switch categories, so you can mix and match. Then get a link to share or an API key to embed it anywhere.

4Add your own targets (optional)
Type any place name, confirm its exact spot on the map, write your own fact, and it'll be added alongside your category picks.
5Name it and set the length
Give players a title and decide how many rounds each game runs.
6Add your own banner (optional)

Show a small clickable banner on the results screen — image, a line of your own text, and a link out to any page of yours (your site, shop, socials, anything). Text is optional; if you leave it blank the link URL is shown instead.

7Add a page header (optional)

Shown in the same glass-bar style as the MapiDesk header, but only on the Begin and Result screens — never on the map itself, and with no back button. Add an image and/or a line of text; if you leave the image blank, only your text is shown.

8Add footer credit (optional)

Shown at the bottom of the Begin and Result screens. Your text appears on the left, linking to the URL you give — "@mapidesk" always stays on the right.

9How will people take it?
Choose how the finished quiz reaches players.
Share link
A page on MapiDesk anyone can open and play, with our header, footer, and ads.
API key / embed

Both
Get a share link and an embeddable API key at the same time.
10Customize the highlight badges (optional)

These are the three small badges under the Begin button ("Build accuracy", "Challenge yourself", "Compete & learn"). Rename any of them and optionally link it out — e.g. to your blog. Leave a label blank to keep the default; leave a link blank to keep it non-clickable.
